These terms govern your access to and use of Estia, a marketplace operated by Estia, Inc. that connects homeowners with filmed home services contractors. By creating an account, posting a job, applying as a pro, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these terms.

Who can use Estia.

You must be at least eighteen years old and able to enter into a binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction. You agree to provide accurate information when you sign up and to keep that information current. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Estia connects, contractors perform.

Estia is a venue. Contractors listed on Estia are independent businesses, not employees or agents of Estia. We verify identity, license, and insurance where applicable, but the contract for any job is between the homeowner and the contractor. Estia is not a party to that contract.

Money moves when the proof clears.

Homeowner payments are held in escrow and released to contractors as filmed milestones clear our verification system. Estia takes a platform fee from completed jobs as disclosed at the time of payment. Refunds and disputes follow the policy described in your account dashboard.

Your receipts. Forever.

A receipt is the time-stamped, hash-sealed video record produced for a completed job. The homeowner who paid for the job owns a perpetual, transferable license to the receipt and may forward it to buyers, insurers, inspectors, or anyone else they choose. The contractor retains a license to use the receipt as a portfolio reference, with personally identifying details obscured on request.

Estia stores receipts indefinitely under our chain-of-custody system. We will not modify, delete, or re-sequence footage after a receipt is sealed. If a receipt is found to have been tampered with, we will say so loudly and publicly. That is the whole point.

Don't break the receipt.

You agree not to upload footage you did not capture, not to misrepresent the work performed, and not to use Estia to harass, defraud, or impersonate anyone. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. We may also remove receipts that we determine were not produced in good faith.

The platform is provided as is.

Estia provides the platform on an as-is basis. We do not guarantee the quality of any contractor's work, the suitability of any homeowner's job, or the uninterrupted availability of the service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Cap on damages.

To the extent allowed by law, Estia's total liability for any claim arising out of these terms is limited to the greater of one hundred dollars or the platform fees you paid us in the six months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

We may update these terms.

If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notice and post the revised terms here with an updated date. Your continued use of Estia after the change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
